Traffic detoured 7a.m.-1p.m.
Runners at the Eisenhower Marathon and Half Marathon wind through the territory south of Abilene that cattlemen followed when bringing their herds to Abilene on the Chisholm Trail in the 1800s.
All paved course, mostly flat and fast, USATF sanctioned and certified, code #KSO 2046BG, 2013 Boston Marathon Qualifier.
Race begins and ends at the Eisenhower Presidential Center.

PACKET PICK-UP and LATE REGISTRATION
Late registration is in Eisenhower
Visitors' Center 4/13/12, 2-9 p.m. Runners in ALL races MUST
be registered before 9 p.m. Friday April 13. No race day registration
is available for marathon, half, 10K or 5K races.
Community Walkers (2 miles through historic,
downtown Abilene) may register until 9 a.m., April 14, 2012
PRE-REGISTERED runners
may pick up packets between 2-9 April 13 or from 5:30-6:30
a.m. on race day. Packets
include T-shirt, race number, meal tickets, and course
map. |
